William is a graduate of Fox Chapel Area School District in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. William’s successful high school career included a stellar academic record. He graduated with academic honors and was designated an Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar with honors by the College Board. William was the founder and first president of the Fox Chapel Area Black Student Union and he received a Princeton Prize in Race Relations Certificate of Achievement for his work.
While William’s community service included volunteer work with the UPMC Mercy Hospital Pharmacy and the Homewood Children’s Village, his most meaningful and impactful work was done in Nicaragua during the summer of 2017. William volunteered with Bridges to Community, a non-profit organization dedicated to service learning and community development in impoverished countries. His group effort built a new home in the town of Nindiri for a Nicaraguan family.
During his senior year in high school, William was awarded the General Matthew B. Ridgeway Citizenship Award and the Fox Chapel Rotary's Award in Social Studies. His peers voted him Most Likely to be President.
William will attend Morehouse College in the Fall where he plans to major in Biology.
