"At the age of 16, I became the Chief Executive Officer of Kids Helping Kids Sacramento, a 501(c)3 nonprofit run entirely by high school students that has been recognized as the #1 student-run nonprofit in the nation. As the company’s CEO, my job was to empower the 60 members of my team to work cohesively to raise $185,000 for children in need, both locally and globally. We serve 4 primary populations of pediatric cancer families, foster care and homeless college bound students, elementary students, and impoverished youth in the countries of Nicaragua and India. I represented my company at the 2019 Social Venture Partners Competition in front of over 1,000 corporate executives by presenting a three minute pitch in front of a panel of judges at the Golden 1 Arena. Competing against the 20 most premier nonprofits in the region, I won first place and the grand prize of $15,000 to help my organization serve 100 more families fight pediatric cancer. Simultaneously, I maintained a 4.3 GPA and served as the captain and choreographer of my high school's varsity dance team."
