Shreya Santhanagopalan will be a computer science student at the Georgia Institute of Technology and is natively from Maryland. Shreya is highly involved in engineering and computer science activities. She has earned certificate of completion for the Project Lead the Way Engineering Career Academy Program. She has engaged in many competitions to present her engineering knowledge as well. On a national level, Shreya and her teammates were the winners of the 2018 National Project Lead the Way Engineering Design Competition and 2018 National ACTE Trophy Design Competition. With her teammates, she also started an engineering organization called WEngineer to promote STEM and different types of engineerings to middle schoolers. Along with her competitions, she is also an artificial intelligence intern for a wildlife protection organization, using machine learning to help conserve different species. Shreya is excited to learn more about the computer science field and pursue her education at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
