To contribute to her household’s income, Perla began creating jewelry using sea glass. She has sold her jewelry at various community events, school, church and during initiatives to raise funding to end human trafficking. Perla credits her sea glass jewelry business for helping to improve her marketing and business skills. She will continue her business once in college to assist with her tuition and other college-related expenses.
