Meghan Guy

Meghan believes in creating an inclusive environment for all. After thorough research, she found that her school could greatly benefit from the addition of a Gay-Straight Alliance Club. Meghan found it difficult to establish the club in her school, but she and a friend cofounded a Gay-Straight Alliance Club at a local library. The GSA Club offers its members activities such as movie nights, arts and crafts, and bowling. Meghan’s GSA Club has members from five different high schools and has expanded its outreach through various digital media. Meghan has served as copresident of the Model United Nations Club, and she is a four-year member of the Martin Library Teen Advisory Board. Meghan is a member of the National Honor Society, a recipient of the University of Rochester’s Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award, and she is also a dancer.
