Marcel Perry

Marcel began to refine his leadership skills through his superior academic performance and perseverance. Students once guilty of verbal taunting now beckoned for his scholastic expertise. Marcel serves in both his school and local community as president of Future Business Leaders of America, an Upward Bound volunteer, and a student bank teller. Marcel recounts his unwavering fortitude in the midst of unfavorable, childhood banter, “I subtly overcame bullying using my intelligence as a medium to enthrall people that could’ve potentially stigmatized me or spread untruths about my character . . . We are more than labels and I would enlightened anyone being bullied with the same theme.”
