Destiny Wiley-Yancy

Destiny strives to lessen the “educational deficiencies” sourcing the widening “achievement gap.” Upon learning of the number of her peers struggling in their academic performance, she led a peer tutoring program during her senior year. Destiny began by inquiring of the number of freshmen interested in pursuing higher education. She has seen a shift in students’ perspective of their future academic career. Destiny is currently assisting with the implementation of an arts advocacy summit. She plans to major in political science and to continue to work to reduce educational inequality. Destiny serves as secretary of the Associated Student Body and senior vice president of public relations for Youth for National Change.
