Colin McCabe is a graduate of Shaker Heights High School in Northeast Ohio, and will be attending The Ohio State University starting Fall 2021. Getting his first experiences in politics as a teenager, he met with Senators and Representatives in D.C on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, advocating for those with rare diseases including his brother. He served in student government as class vice president followed by two terms as class president, gaining experience working with others and advocating for his peers. He plans to study political science at college in order to continue learning about the diverse population of America and how to help them. As president of his high school’s environmental club, he worked on the Shaker Heights sustainability committee towards implementing plans to make his city carbon neutral by 2050. Priding himself as an Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman, he hopes to continue taking wilderness day trips throughout his college years and into the future.
