Brooke was invited to attend the top high school in Maryland and enroll in the four-year, engineering program, Project Lead the Way. She has interned with the United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, and she was asked to spearhead her school’s first-ever STEM Student Ambassador program to assist in recruiting more females to participate in STEM activities. Brooke is working on an invention known as SmartCane that utilizes sonar technology to detect items above the knee and to the sides to assist in mobility. Brooke is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, and she is a tutor. She also participates in Maryland’s Girls in Technology STEM program.
